    About
Both Artist and Educator, Adele was recently commissioned by ICSA Jersey to design three new awards and shortlisted for the Millennium Town Park Sculpture Award 2011. Adele works in both two and three dimensions and runs art workshops in Jersey.

My work explores rhythm and movement found in natural form. I am influenced by and find inspiration in Japanese 17th Century block prints, Eastern calligraphy and the old masters such as Poussin along with American Abstract Expressionism. Other sources of inspiration are Howard Hodgkin and Barbara Rae for their command of colour and Braque for his simplicity.

‘The one thing necessary for a work of art is that it should bring with it the fertilising seed to come to flower in the beholder’s mind’.
    L Binyon, on Kano School
