What is Psychotherapy?
Sometimes, when life gets overwhelming we need someone to help us with our difficulties: to be alongside us and support us to find our way. This is natural. Psychotherapy can help us to manage and understand what is happening in ourselves and our lives.
Core Process Psychotherapy is a Mindfulness based Psychotherapy with an evidence base for its effectiveness in helping to understand and alleviate suffering. I can also use various art forms to support the client's journey.
I offer an emotionally warm and non-judgmental space. It can allow for trust to develop so that it is a safe place to explore and deepen what is happening for you, and work through and let go of what may be causing suffering.
Sessions are once weekly for an hour per session. Research has shown that this is the most effective frequency and duration for psychotherapy.
I have had four years of postgraduate training and have been running a clinical practice in a GP surgery and in private practise since 2012. I have also worked as a Wellbeing Facilitator for 6 years prior with a charity working with families.

*Diploma in the Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts
*Qualified STEPS effective thinking skills facilitator
Also a free initial consultation is offered which is a chance for both therapist and client to find out more about each other and the specific work for you. It is also to take time in deciding whether to move forward into the therapeutic journey.
