Fenby Miskin Photography
www.fenby.net/info@fenby.netAbout
Fenby Miskin is a fine art and portrait photographer living in Jersey.
He has been photographing since the age of 8. Most days he takes at least one photograph.
He has always been fascinated by textures, patterns and shapes. And more recently storytelling and portraits. There are no rules. And no predictability.
The abstract textures are usually discovered in regular objects such as an overpainted garage door. It is all in the discovery and composition. Isolating an item gives it both curiosity and prominence such as the seaweed photographs taken on St Ouens beach.
There is also a mischievous side in some of the documentary photography such as the Fun Fair collection.

In 2012 & 2013 Fenby built temporary photographic studios inside a shipping container as part of the Skipton Open Studios exhibition at the Weighbridge and a selection may be viewed Shipping Container Portraits 2012 and Shipping Container Portraits 2013
In 2013 Fenby became part of the Art House Collective studio based at La Folie and this multi-disciplinary group has encouraged him to take up abstract painting.

In 2014 Fenby set up the Humans of Jersey Facebook Page
