Preparing and eating healthy, wholesome food in my own home is extremely important to me and creating in the kitchen has always been a favourite pastime of mine. Having recently undertaken a course in Food & Nutrition, I have been able to design recipes using ingredients that are beneficial when consumed as part of your daily diet. Using only local seasonal fruit and vegetables means that the flavours shall change with the seasons, as should our natural diet.
Almost all of the produce used in our cooking is organic. We source the majority of our vegetables from Vers Le Mont Organic Farm, St Peter as well as other farms belonging to the Organic Cooperative of Jersey. Also Classic Herd Dairy, St Peter for it’s range of organic dairy products and meat products. Amongst using good local ingredients, you will also find other natural beneficial ingredients in our food. Such a various soya products, seeds, nuts and Himalayan salt, due to its range of nutritional and therapeutic properties. Also wheat products are avoided unless specified. Never, will you see artificial colouring, flavouring, or preservatives listed in the ingredients. Only fresh herbs, natural spices, organic seasoning and pure natural salt season your food!
All of our soups can help maintain good energy levels, can help prevent low blood sugar levels, will boost the immune system and assist with good memory function. And as most contain very little dairy, meat and wheat products, they will naturally help aid in the reduction of toxins throughout the body, maintaining a stable weight and will energise you throughout your busy day.
You will find our soups on the shelves of most good local farm shops, butchers and delicatessens. Using only local seasonal fruit and vegetables means that the flavours shall change monthly. In addition to this Flavour.je also brings to you, "Bespoke to your Door" a unique small scale home delivery service.
