Jaded Things were formed in 2008 as a 4-piece band and immediately set about crafting a set of original songs, interspersed with covers of song by bands that inspire them. This quickly led to some tentative gigs in Jersey, and across the water in France.
2009 saw the band reduced to a 3-piece, with Neil trading his duties on guitar, and taking his place behind the drums. With this change in dynamic, and loss of a guitar, songs were rehearsed and re-worked into the songs which make up the bands first recorded output 'Waterfront'.
Recorded early in 2011, and unleashed on the public in September of that year, the boys wasted no time in getting out to play the songs to anyone who cared to hear them playing some notable gigs at The Star, and gaining themselves a spot on the main stage of the inaugural Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts.
Not ones to rest on their laurels, the guys headed back into the rehearsal room to write a new batch of songs which were recorded in early 2012, and make up this years latest EP 'And Other Insults'. With several more gigs under their belts and more to follow, the future is looking bright for Jaded Things.Categories: Musicians.
