Jersey Premier Brass was founded in 1997. The primary aim of the band was to provide the opportunity for lo
cal brass musicians to perform quality brass music. To this end the band has developed a fine reputation for exciting and innovative concerts, showcasing the talents of our small island community.
The band has been active on the contesting scene since 1999 and has risen through the leagues to maintain the current position of National 1st Section status. The band has represented the London & Southern Counties at the National Finals 3 times, winning the 3rd Section National Championships in 2005.
Being a close knit island band, changes of personnel are fairly rare. JPB enjoys an enviable position of having an oversubscribed band, with healthy competition for the coveted seats in the contesting band. Many of our players have gained invaluable experience with the band and gone on to take up places at music colleges and work on the mainland as professional musicians.Categories: Musicians.
