We are a registered charity providing protection, care, and education for and about trees in Jersey. Since 1937 (and formally under the name of Jersey Men Of The Trees), we have been working to protect trees, manage existing woodland and plant many thousands of trees each year to provide maximum benefit to the island’s landscape and wildlife.
We provide educational services to schools and organisations, plan and manage environmental care schemes, including volunteer work, and provide expert advice on trees and hedges and their associated environments to individuals and businesses.
Our projects include the Val de la Mare Arboretum (the Forgotten Forest), the Hedgerow Campaign (restoring and protecting Jersey’s hedgerows and farmland trees), Adelina Wood (a community wood in St John), Birds on the Edge (the planting of hedgerows near St Ouen’s pond), Morier Valley (upkeep and maintenance) and the Alder Collection (maintenance and monitoring of the collection of various species of Alders in St Brelade).
We also have many volunteering opportunities for those interested in working with us.
