Originally from Scotland Julie moved to the island 22 years ago when she fell in love with it and has been resident ever since, and would never think to move. Julie first encountered CranioSacral therapy in 1991 when she started her career as a Health Care Assistant at the General Hospital then as a Student Nurse in 2007. Julie became fascinated with the Anatomy and Physiology of the human form and the bodies power to heal itself. Following her first CST session in 2009 Julie was amazed at the results and how she felt afterwards. She began to recognise that there were other factors that impacted on health and wanted to know more, so her journey of studying CranioSacral Therapy (CST) with the Upledger Institute UK began in October 2009.
Since completing her very first course in CST, she has worked on babies through to adults, all with a variety of physical, mental and emotional discords within their bodies. Julie feels strongly about the importance of seeking out and treating the cause rather than the symptoms. Even now Julie continues to be completely amazed at the body’s ability to self-correct and heal. Julie regularly furthers her knowledge in CST through workshops and courses affiliated with only the Upledger UK Institute often travelling to the UK.
Julie is extremely passionate about what she does, and feels that it is an honour and a privilege to be able to promote health and wellness in people by using the knowledge and experience she has gained over the years. The team at Back to Balance Chiropractic and The Lido Wellness Centre all believe passionately in the importance of seeking out and treating the cause of the problem rather than the symptoms and are honoured to have Julie on board.Categories: Therapists.
