At the K9 Wellness Centre, our expert team of qualified hydrotherapists and physiotherapists and groomers are committed to keeping dogs' health and well-being at the heart of everything we do.
We believe in a collaborative approach to canine treatment, working directly with doggy parents, veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses for the best outcome for our furry friends.
Skilled, compassionate and patient, we also understand that each dog has its own unique medical requirements and personality.
That's why we tailor our services to each and every dog to ensure the best result for their health, as well as to put them at ease in what is often a new and unfamiliar environment.
To help relax dogs, we use specialist massage techniques to build trust, aid comfort and encourage enjoyment.
We are the first centre of its kind in the Channel Islands offering a full range of competitively priced canine services, including:
- LAND-BASED PHYSIOTHERAPY - Used as both a weight-bearing and non-weight bearing form of physiotherapy using movement therapies, massage therapies and soft-tissue techniques.
- MASSAGE – a branch of specialist massage therapy that promotes health in dogs. Specifically, canine massage therapy is a form of alternative therapy, the benefits of which may include relaxation, increased oxygenation, pain relief, improved joint flexibility, as well as miscellaneous benefits to the immune system.
- LASER – Often called 'low-level laser therapy', 'cold laser therapy' or 'Class IVlaser therapy', it is still a relatively new concept that is being used more recently to treat dogs with arthritis, tendon or soft tissue injuries and to promote wound healing.
- TTOUCH – 'Tellington TTouch Training' offers a gentle approach to the care and training of companion animals such as dogs, horses, farm animals, exotics and wildlife. The approach in the field of canines is widely accepted as a powerful method to improve behaviour, enhance performance and health and teach a dog to learn willingly. It helps establish a deeper rapport and more effective connection and understanding between humans and their animals.
- WEIGHT MANAGEMENT – The key to this goal is to maintain an optimum weight through proper nutrition and exercise. Obesity shortens lifespan, increases the risk of cardio-respiratory disease and joint problems, and will also aggravate pain in a dog with arthritis.
- DOG DAY CARE & DOG SITTING - Are you at work all day? Are you going away for a few nights or weeks? Do you need someone to care for your dog while you're away? We can help you by looking after your four-legged best friend for as little or as long as you need. We provide pick-up and drop-off too!
