Laneez Surf Center & El Tico are located in one of the most beautiful bay's in Jersey and perhaps the whole of the British Isles, St Ouens Bay. A back drop of sand dunes, tiny countryside lanes which in the spring & summer are a treat to walk or cycle along, there's a large pond which attract's so much wildlife and is a great stop off for migrating birds throughout the year.
Laneez surf centre was set up by Jersey born Nick & Mark Durbano in 1999. Nick & Mark both started surfing in the early 80s, there was a tight nit of core surfers then and nearly everyone knew each other, times have changed, surfing and many other sports have grown unbelievably.
People are now realising how good for you getting out in the fresh air is and getting in the ocean is medicine to your body & brain, getting back to nature is so good for your well being, it recharges you so being able to get on with life is made easier and more enjoyable due to a great state of mind.
Many an evening was had watching surf movies in the old shop with friends. Many friends and customers have now followed us down to our new location next to El Tico Beach Cantina.Categories: Activities, Surfing Schools & Equipment.
