Radio Lions is Jersey's Hospital Radio Station. Radio Lions has been broadcasting each evening since 1975. Programmes may be heard via an exclusive cable network serving the General Hospital in St. Helier, the Jeanne Jugan Residence and Overdale at Westmount, The Limes in Green Street and Sandybrook in St.Peter's Valley. Radio Lions is brought to you by a voluntary team of enthusiasts, from studios in the basement of the General Hospital in St.Helier.
If you're interested in volunteering to help out, we always welcome potential new members. You may like to participate in Ward Visiting, assisting with programme production, or even presenting your own show. Drop us a message by speaking at the studio answering device on 871818 and we'll get back to you - and invite you to the studio for a friendly welcome and to have a look around.
Radio Lions is a member of the HBA - the Hospital Broadcasting Association - and is sponsored by the Lions Club of Jersey.
Evening programmes will be between 7pm and 10pm, with automated programmes overnight. Current presenters include Steve and Tracey Pirouet, Andy J (Wed), James Roberts (Thur), Des Gregory and Mike Turner (Fri).
