Becoming involved in Entertainment in our local youth club whilst still a teenager, my passion has continued to amass over 25 years experience both hands on as a DJ, Compeer and presenter of talent shows, quizzes whilst also coordinating all types of events from local family parties to the largest and most spectacular of Black Tie Corporate events.
Venues, both as resident DJ and Co-ordinator, have ranged from local bars, through to the large pre-club venues (800+ capacity) onto town centre clubs; corporate and private events have been co-ordinated in all types of venues, more recently under contract to several 4 & 5 Star establishments whilst continuing the town centre residencies. I have always managed to keep a full range of venues, so as not to become stuck into one environment, and to remain as versatile as possible, and I feel that this is a major contributor to my longtivity and success.
From the early days, I have held residencies in Jersey’s most popular nightclubs and bars, including Jersey’s largest pub, Chambers, which boasts the world’s longest bar. I have also held Jersey’s longest residencies, which includes the Islands original Summer Terrace, the White Horse, having first played there in 1993, covering the then resident, and taking over the venue in 1997, the summer of 2009 being my 13th year of residency. During the summer of 2009, I regularly performed on more of Jersey’s terraces than any other DJ, and have become known as the Terrace DJ of the year by local DJ’s I have been working with. My popularity and standard of performance has secured bookings at various European events and in the UK whilst living in Jersey, a feat not achieved by more than a handfull of Channel Island based DJ's.
As you may be aware, to cover such a multitude of events, I do need to carry a highly varied set of music. With a collection ranging from Rock & Roll and the 60’s, through Mowtown & Soul to classic funky 70’s, into the big chart hits of the 80’s & 90’s, school disco and party to current chart, diversifying to dance from old skool 90’s through funky house and massive summer anthems to current floor fillers. Club and bar formats are either fully mixed, with shout-outs as appropriate, or chopped/faded; this depends on the format required by the venue As you can see, with the exception of the most specialised of nights, the majority of formats can be covered. A comprehensive karaoke package is also available, with a range of over 5,000 songs available, and installations and equipment maintenance can also be provided.
Returning to Jersey in early 2011, after a period in the UK, I quickly re-established myself as one of the Islands most popular, versatile and experienced DJ’s, with several residencies and regular private parties and events, as well as guest spots at venues where no residency spots are available.Categories: Disc Jockeys, Karaoke, Party Entertainers & Organisers, Private Functions Catered For.
