Started playing early 60s, took a break to bring up family, picked up again mid 80s. I've played folk/blues clubs at Devil's Hole, Smugglers, Royal Hotel and have continued supporting open mic venues ever since.
I've resisted doing full gigs, prefer to do support spots, which have included venues like the Watersplash, Ha'penny Bridge, Kitty O'Shea's, Green Rooster, Africa House and various charity events around the island.
My influences include most old blues players, too many to mention, JJ Cale, Tony Joe White and most things blues based.
At the grand old age of 68 I'm still playing any open mic venues going, charity events and sometimes doing support with Mostly Harmless.
Now I'm retired I'm spending more time writing own material, so I suppose you could class me as a guitarist singer/songwriter.Categories: Musicians.
