Monel K500 Pipe is a metal pipe used in special applications that require exceptional corrosion resistance and strength. The Monel K500 material is expensive compared to other metal material. Therefore it is only used when absolutely necessary and no other replacements could be found. The Alloy K500 Seamless Pipe is used in high corrosion environments such as organic acid manufacturing plants and sea water applications. The UNS N05500 Welded Pipe is stronger and can stand chloride ion corrosion stress cracking.
It does not produce much precipitation during welding and avoids intergranular corrosion cracking as well. The Monel K500 Seamless Pipe has high thermal conductivity and can withstand high temperatures. Many applications require precise pipes such as the ASTM B163 Monel K500 Hot Finished Pipe which maintains the shape and form even at high temperatures.
