We are a youth organisation for 13-19 year old’s. We are based near to the airport and offer many activities as well as practical aviation knowledge and experience.
We meet every Friday night (19:00-21:30) at the HQ which is located on the map in the ‘Contacts’ page. We also meet on a Sunday morning (10:00-12:30). On Friday the cadets learn about a wide range of topics from Basic Navigation to Leadership skills. Sunday morning usually consist of some type of activities.
We have a wide selection of activities for everyone which include; Adventurous Training; Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Coasteering, Kayaking, Fieldcraft, Sailing, Surfing and much more!
Our aims are to:
Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people
Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life
Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship
The Air Training Corp's motto is "Venture, Adventure"
