'Art in the Frame', a non-profit making company, was founded in 1998 by two local art teachers with the aim of promoting contemporary art and crafts in Jersey and encouraging the many talented young local artists and craft workers to broaden their artistic experiences.
The Harbour Gallery
In November 2002 we fulfilled a major aim by opening the Harbour Gallery at St Aubin, run totally by volunteers. We exhibit the work of over 80 local artists & craft workers, hold monthly exhibitions, run workshops, demonstrations and lectures.
Visiting artists and craft workers have held regular workshops and lectures as well as exhibiting their own work whilst here. Their expertise has been enjoyed not only by Islanders and visitors of all ages but also, and most importantly, by our primary and secondary school students and those involved in further education.
It is also the home of the Diversity Textile Group.
Fund raising will always be a necessity to support our exhibitions - through the 200 Club and other sources. Money has also gone towards new equipment for the gallery, which can be borrowed by artists.
Having been granted charitable status, we hope that, with your support, we can extend our services to the up and coming artists and craft workers of the island.
