The First Tower School of Dancing (FTSOD) is an established dance school which has been providing dance tuition in Jersey since 1969.
It currently has a register of approximately 300 pupils enjoying classes in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap and Scottish Highland Dancing, Street dance and Stretch/ Conditioning classes.
Here at First tower we think of dance as an art form which allows people to discover, explore, and develop their natural instinct for movement. Not only do we help the students to develop their motor skills, but we also encourage the expression of emotion and personality through dance in the aim of developing well rounded individuals.
We encourage pupils to take part in various in-house workshops, exams, local and international dance competitions; benefiting from our links with the west end Performers and internationally renowned tutors as well as internationally recognized exams. Pupils have entered competitions in the Channel Islands, UK and abroad and achieved notable successes!
Some of our pupils have also taken part in various local shows, both amateur and professional. Past pupils have continued their training to degree and diploma levels at Dance Colleges, Universities and The Royal Ballet School. On graduation from professional training, many have gone on to achieve success in the Professional Theatre, the West End Shows, Cruise Liner Contracts and Commercial Music Videos.Categories: Dancing Academies.
