The Jersey Netball Association was founded on 2nd June 1944 at Trinity Parish Hall and celebrated its 70th Anniversary in 2014. An announcement was made about the formation in the Jersey Evening Post of the 6th June 1944.
The Association decided initially to run a Western League and an Eastern League. In the run up to the meeting Parishes advertised for ladies interested in playing and affiliating matches to attend separate meetings.
Since then much has changed and the Association runs an active netball programme, which includes the Dominion Senior Winter League, Dominion Youth League, Back to Netball, Walking Netball, Mixed Netball, Netball After School, Holiday Netball, a Performance Programme with Island teams.Categories: Clubs & Associations, Netball, Sport.
