Jersey Roller Derby League (JRDL) & the Jersey Royal Rollers (JRR) were founded in April 2013, and became a registered non profit company in September 2013. We are in the process of constructing the first ever all female flat track derby league based in Jersey (Channel Islands).
At present, we have approximately forty registered participants currently enrolled in the orientation programme with more joining every month. The orientation programme is in place to assist & teach all new comer's in the basics of skating skills & techniques required for this great sport.
We are comprised of women of all age's, occupations and various backgrounds from Jersey, United Kingdom, Europe & even America, who's new found love & passion for Roller Derby is only equalled by their commitment & dedication on becoming the first ever official Jersey Roller Derby League by WFTDA standards.
This process in constructing a foundation to build a flourishing league & teams from grass roots level can take between one and two years, which is the standard length of time for any new & developing Roller Derby team across the globe.
As a team & organisation, together we are completely committed to achieving this milestone, and with the dedication & passion already shown by the founding members of the Jersey Royal Rollers, we have no doubt we will reach our goal.
We are a democracy, sharing one voice to maintain the high standards our league & team have been founded & continue to uphold.
