Les Amis was first opened in 1975. Originally known as Maison Variety, it has many houses and flats in the Island of Jersey, offering support to groups of people living independently. Staffing levels vary depending on the needs of the groups and individual residents. In 2007 a major restructuring of the various projects was undertaken to reflect the rapid growth of Les Amis.
Les Amis is a fast-expanding organisation that grows to meet the needs of those with learning disabilities and/or associated conditions in Jersey. Les Amis Policy is now directed by a Board of 2 Executive and 3 Non-Executive Directors who are responsible to the Charities Board of 8 Trustees.
The Trustees would welcome expressions of interest from persons able to become Trustees of this important organisation, which supplies a valuable service to the Island.Categories: Charities.
