    About
Since childhood, I have shared every stage of my life with dogs, starting with our Irish Setter who watched over me as a baby. From junior handler to breeder and behaviorist, the canine world has always been my home—even as I taught generations of children. After a serious accident, my Golden Retriever, Buddy, helped in my healing and inspired Buddy’s Retrievers, my Tucson pet-sitting business. When I revived a lifeless puppy from a litter, Runty Ralph, he became the star of my children’s stories—each tale a way to honor Buddy’s legacy and the love dogs have always shown me.
